Hot Spot of the Month- 6th Day Farms
Nestled in the heart of Thunderbird Farms about 10 miles southwest of the City of Maricopa sits a small family farm ran by Michael and Jennifer Connelly. When we, The Adams Group, sold them the property where their farm sits in 2018, we had no idea what an amazing place it would become!
Currently 6th Day Farms is home to chickens, ducks and goats but hopes to soon add a few pigs to their farm family. Most of the animals who call the farm home are rescues and every one is treated like a member of the family.
Michael and Jennifer decided to start 6th Day Farms, which derives it name from the Book of Genesis, as a way to contribute and give back to the Maricopa community while also doing what they love!
When asked what their favorite thing about owning a business in Maricopa they answered, “We love how everything in Maricopa comes full circle- that we are involved in a community that is willing to help one another.”

6th Day Farms has been operational since 2019 and offers certified nest-run eggs and meat chickens for sale. Their chickens are well kept and eat variety of vegetables and grains to produce rich eggs with great flavor. Their chicks are pasture-raised and are raised in a brooder box to help the chicks to acclimate. A dozen eggs costs $3.50 and delivery is available. There is currently a wait list for eggs, but Jennifer and Michael are in the process of adding new chickens to their coop to keep up with the ever growing demand.
